Creating a personal Enta account takes four steps: choose the account type, confirm your email, create a passkey, and add a recovery contact. There's no password at any point.

At the end of it you have a working wallet that can hold, send and spend USD₮, XAU₮ and Bitcoin.

Under Who's this account for? there are two cards:

Pick For me. The card fills in with a tick in the corner once selected. Tap Continue.

Pressing Continue without picking a card shows "Choose an account to continue." and outlines both cards in red.

Enter your address under What's your email? and tap Send me the link. There's no password to choose and no code to invent — the link in your inbox is what proves the address is yours.

The next screen confirms Check your inbox. Go and open the email.

If it hasn't arrived, check your spam folder. There's a Resend button on a short timer — it appears as "Resend in 0:45" and becomes tappable once the countdown finishes — and Use a different email if you typed it wrong.

Requesting the link repeatedly locks the button temporarily, with the message "Too many resends. Try again in x minutes". Wait it out rather than starting again with a new email address.

Step 3 is Secure your wallet. You'll see a card for the device you're on — for example This Mac — badged "Takes less than 30 seconds". Tap Create passkey.

Enta then hands over to your browser and operating system, and its own button greys out to "Awaiting browser input" while it waits. What you see next depends on your setup:

These dialogs belong to your browser and operating system rather than to Enta, so their exact wording and buttons vary by version. Enta stays on the Secure your wallet screen behind them until you finish.

Step 4 is Add recovery email — this is what you'd use to get back in if you lost access to your primary email or your passkey.

Enter an address and tap Send Code. There's a Use phone number instead toggle if you'd rather use a mobile number. Then type the 6-digit code into the boxes on the next screen. As with the earlier step, there's a spam reminder, a resend timer, and the option to use a different address.

Use an address on a different provider from your main one where you can. If you lose access to your primary email, a recovery address at the same provider may be locked out too.

Once the code is accepted, your account is created and your wallet is live.

Some computers have no fingerprint reader, no face camera and no Windows Hello. On those, sign-up stops with "This device can't sign you up" and offers two ways round it:

What works: an iPhone or Android phone with Face ID or fingerprint, a Mac with Touch ID, or a Windows PC with Windows Hello.

You're now a Tier 1 user. Your wallet works immediately — you can send, swap and receive crypto, and your Dashboard shows a zero balance until you fund it.

A prompt sits at the top of the page headed "Make the most of Enta, verify your identity", tracking how far through verification you are.
