How to activate and use your Shiga Wallet

Activate your self-custodial Shiga Wallet and start sending, receiving, and managing stablecoins.

Your Shiga Wallet is self-custodial, which means you stay in full control of your funds. This guide walks you through activating it and finding your way around.

Log in and get oriented

After logging in, you'll see these options in the left sidebar:

  • Wallet — inactive until activated

  • Portal Accounts — active after verification

  • Transactions — your full history

  • Payment Links — create payment requests

  • Beneficiaries — save frequent recipients

  • Help and FAQ — the support center

You'll also see a banner inviting you to activate your self-custodial Shiga Wallet, where you can send, receive, and manage stablecoins for free.

Complete your KYC verification

Full wallet access requires KYC. Click the verification link in the banner and submit a government-issued ID and a proof of address (utility bill or bank statement less than 3 months old). Until you're verified, features like Portal Accounts stay locked. See "How to complete your KYC verification" for the full walkthrough.

Your wallet dashboard

Once active, your wallet shows your total balance and your USDT balance across each supported network. New wallets start at $0.

Supported EVM networks for USDT: Base, Celo, Arbitrum, Ethereum, Polygon, and Optimism.

Understanding your wallet information

  • Your wallet address is your public address for receiving USDT from other wallets or exchanges. Always verify the first and last few characters when sending or receiving.

  • Network-specific balances: each supported network shows its own USDT balance.

If your balance isn't showing correctly

  • Make sure you're viewing the correct network tab.

  • Refresh the page, or log out and back in.
