How to get back into your wallet if you lose your device or get a new one — no seed phrase involved.
The fastest way back in: your backup device
If you added a backup device to your wallet (or your passkey syncs across your devices — for example through iCloud Keychain), recovery is simple:
Just sign in on your other device. That's it. Your passkey is there, your wallet opens, and no waiting period applies — because you're not recovering anything, you're just using another key you already own.
💡 Do this today, not the day you lose your phone. Adding a backup device takes two minutes and turns "I lost my phone" from a stressful event into a non-event. You'll find it in Settings → Security → Backup device.
Lost access to everything? Assisted recovery
If you've lost all your devices and have no backup, ENTA has an assisted recovery process:
1. Start recovery from your new device. You'll verify your identity using your registered recovery email and an identity check, so we know it's really you.
2. A 72-hour security wait begins. Recovery doesn't complete instantly — and that's deliberate (more below).
3. After 72 hours, your new device's passkey takes over. Your wallet — same address, same funds, same history — is now controlled by your new device. Nothing moves; only the key changes.
Why the 72-hour wait? It protects you.
The waiting period isn't a delay for its own sake — it's your safety window.
Imagine someone tried to impersonate you and start a recovery on your wallet. Without a waiting period, they'd be in immediately. With it:
You get notified the moment any recovery starts on your wallet.
You have three full days to cancel it — one tap from any device where you're signed in, and the takeover attempt is dead.
Nothing can be taken in the meantime. During the waiting period, the recovery process cannot move your funds. It can only request a key change — and you can veto it.
And if anything suspicious is detected during the window, the wait can be extended for extra protection.
Recovery is enforced on the blockchain itself — the 72-hour rule isn't a policy we promise to follow, it's a rule built into your wallet that even we can't skip.
