Enta accounts are secured with a passkey. It's the only way to sign in — there's no password to set, and no separate two-factor code to enter.
A passkey is tied to your device and unlocked the same way you unlock the device itself — a fingerprint, your face, or your device PIN. That's what makes it safe enough to stand on its own: there's no password for anyone to guess, phish, or find in a leaked database, and signing in already requires something you have and something only you can provide.
You'll find everything below under Settings > Security > Passkey & devices.
Your passkey
The Passkey section shows where your passkey is stored and when it was created:
Where it's kept — the password manager holding it, such as Google Password Manager or your browser's built-in manager
The account it belongs to — your email address, partly masked
When it was created — the date the passkey was first set up
Because your passkey lives with your password manager rather than with Enta, it syncs to your other devices the same way your saved passwords do. Signing in on a new phone or laptop generally means unlocking the passkey your manager already holds, not creating a new one.
Devices signed in to your account
The Devices section lists every device currently signed in. Each entry shows the device and browser, the location it signed in from, and when it was last active.
The device you're using right now is marked This device and can't be removed from the list — you'd be signing yourself out of the page you're on.
To sign out any other device, click Remove next to it. That device is signed out and will need your passkey to get back in.
Automatic log-out
Enta signs you out on its own after a period without activity, so an unattended screen doesn't stay open. The default is 15 minutes, and you'll get a warning 60 seconds before it happens, giving you a chance to stay signed in.
You can change the duration from the dropdown in the Automatic log-out section. A shorter window is safer on a shared or work computer; a longer one is more convenient on a device only you use.
Check this list if something feels wrong
The Devices list is the quickest way to tell whether anyone else has access to your account. If you see a device, browser or location you don't recognise:
Click Remove on that device straight away.
Check your Recovery settings to confirm your backup email is still one you control.
Contact support so we can help you secure the account.
Good to know
There's no 2FA to switch on. Your passkey already covers what a password plus a second factor would. If you've seen older guidance about setting up an authenticator app, it no longer applies.
Keep your passkey recoverable. Since it's your only way in, losing access to the password manager holding it means relying on account recovery. Make sure your password manager is backed up and your Recovery details are current.
A location shown next to a device is approximate. It's based on the network connection, so it can differ from where you actually are — especially on mobile data or a VPN.
Removing a device doesn't delete your passkey. It only ends that device's session.
Your passkey is not your private key. Your private key lives under Settings > Security > Recovery and should never be shared with anyone — including Enta.
