How to invite a member to your business

Send an invite, assign a role, and track it until the person accepts.

You add people to your business by sending them an invite. You choose the role at the same time, so they get the right level of access from the moment they accept.

Inviting members is a business account feature. Personal accounts have no team, so there is no invite option to look for.

Invites are sent from Settings > Business > Team.

Before you start

Have these ready for the person you are inviting:

  • Their legal first name and legal last name.

  • Their email address.

  • The role you want them to hold — Super Admin, Admin, or Viewer.

1. Open the invite form

Go to Members and click Invite member.

2. Enter their details

Fill in Legal first name, Legal last name, and Email address.

If you want to record where they sit in the business, click Add department & job title and add those details. This step is optional.

3. Assign a role

Under Assign to a role, pick Super Admin, Admin, or Viewer. Each card shows a short description of what that role can do.

If you want the full picture before you decide, click View followed by the role name and permissions on the card to see every permission that role carries.

4. Send the invite

Click Send invite.

After you send the invite

The person you invited appears on the Pending tab of Members until they accept. From there you can resend the invite or revoke it.

An invite that is not accepted in time shows a status of Expired. You can resend it, or take it off the list with Remove from list.

Good to know

  • Use the person's legal name, not a nickname.

  • Department and job title are optional. You can send the invite without them.

  • Revoking an invite disables the link that was sent. It does not notify the person you invited.

  • The role you pick decides whether the person can move money, approve what others start, or only look at balances, statements, and activity.

  • Track every outstanding invite on the Pending tab, which also shows who sent it and when.
